Former Floyd Central Theater manager releases Broadway cover album

Renowned Southern Indiana Theater Teacher, Set Designer, Singer and Actor Robbie Steiner released a Broadway cover album on Friday, November 19.

The album, Out of character, is part of a collaboration between Steiner and Scott Bradley, the musical director of Derby Dinner Playhouse.

There are 12 tracks on the album, including “The Music of the Night” (“The Phantom of the Opera”), “Children Will Listen” (“Into The Woods”) and “Bring Him Home” (“Les Misérables. “)” This Is The Moment “(” Jekyll & Hyde “) is also available as a single.

Steiner, that LEO profiled in 2014, he was director of theater arts at Floyd Central High School in Indiana for 10 years before passing the torch to Brooklyn Chalfant. While at Floyd Central, Stage Directions magazine awarded the school the title of “Best Theater School in the Midwest. His program also piloted official high school productions of shows like “Newsies” before license rights for those shows were distributed to other schools.

In a press release on his new album, Steiner said: “It has been a pleasure to collaborate with so many talented artists on this project. Scott Bradley has created some absolutely beautiful arrangements and I can’t wait for people to hear the result. I hope listeners enjoy the journey this album takes them and can inspire others to take their own leap of faith.

Out of character is available to stream on a number of platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, Robbie’s site, or with the built-in Spotify player below.
