Justine Blazer releases new album GIRL SINGING THE BLUES
Multi-genre singer-songwriter, producer, recording artist and proud member of the Recording Academy (and a Grammy️ voter since 2020), Justine Blazer, has just released her highly anticipated debut blues album “Girl Singing the Blues”. You can listen to the album HERE and buy it HERE!
There are ten original tracks on the album, featuring collaborations and duets with BB King’s Grammy-winning daughter Claudette King. “I’m so excited to release my first blues album,” exclaims Justine. “Girl Singing the Blues is my eighth studio album and I feel like it’s one of my best work to date. Originally from Detroit, I grew up around blues, R&B and Motown My parents listened to all the big- Aretha Franklin, Martha ReevesMitch Ryder, The Temptations, Etta James and more! I actually started out in a blues band in Detroit with my brother-in-law, blues guitarist, Rex Mason. We actually won the Detroit Blues Challenge in the mid-to-late 2000s, but I ended up singing country instead – which I’ve always loved too!”
Justine produced, mixed and mastered this entire project. She has had the privilege of writing with incredible writers, including Grammy-nominated composer Armand Hutton, Shay Watson, Claudette King, Tom Bender, Corey Lee Barker and Lou Molitch. The project also features some of Nashville’s finest musicians, including songs with Miles McPherson, Smith Curry, Tim Marks, Jeff Bradshaw, Brian Jones, Alain BakerNick Buda, Lou Molitch and more!
“Girl Singing the Blues” includes Justine’s current single (and debut blues release), “Bad Love” (featured in Billboard Magazine), which is now playing radio around the world. The official clip already has over 12,000 views and can be seen HERE.
The second single, “Never Get Away”, is now available on all streaming platforms and can be listened to HERE. The upbeat Americana/blues track features Natalie Jean, Kitt Wakeley and Kerry Adams, and describes the love/hate relationship artists and musicians have with working in the music industry.
“While going through the pandemic, I realized that time is precious,” explains Justine. “I can’t wait for everyone to hear about the project that took more than a decade in the making!”

Justine received nine nominations for this year’s Josie Music Awards, which will take place on October 23, 2022 at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN. She released her first blues album, “Girl Singing the Blues”, on August 30, 2022.
